August 1, 2010: The Reed family will hold a Celebration of Emily Cameron Reed’s life Sunday, August 1, 2010 at 1 pm in the Marion Avenue Snyder Funeral Home (formerly Finefrock Funeral Home). Friends and family are encouraged to bring a print of their favorite photo of Emily to share on a collage board and helium balloon for release. A reception will follow at 3 pm at the Mansfield Art Center. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions in Emily’s name to the Mansfield Art Center and may be made at the funeral home.

July 29, 2010: Mansfield native Daniel Mainzer served as the staff photographer for Firestone & General Tire in Akron, Ohio. In this exhibition, Mainzer focuses on the passion of the tire makers, their working conditions, and the deconstruction of the plants between the years 1967 and 1987.  "I knew that this was a time of tremendous change that would result in the end of tire production in Akron. I believe this body of work deserves to be seen because it is our history; never to be repeated, and hopefully, never forgotten." Mainzer

Mainzer is also responsible for the album artwork for the band Barnstorm, featuring Joe Walsh. A selection of photographs from their recording session at Caribou Ranch Studios in 1972 is also on display.
